At the age of 18, my parents wanted me to be a doctor, I wanted to be
a calligrapher. At the age of 33 I find myself to be an architect in profession
and a caligrapher in passion. After all those years I found out that calligraphy
is something I can never give away.
Now after practicing architecture for the past ten years, I have learned
that the passion of art is not something we study. I have also discovered
that meeting the right people to push the artist in you could actually
have more impact than possessing the art itself.
Having Tina for the past two years as a design director by my side has
certainly added a much needed spirit in to my work. Tina has taught me
how to get the architect in me to push the calligrapher to work harder.
And thanks to this, I have achieved years worth of dreams in calligraphy.
The support, love and understanding of friends and family is an ever winning
card. In this occasion, my winning card is Ahmad
Mousawi. Without him, the work you have just seen wouldn’t have
appeared as you have seen it. Even if it took years to achieve, it is
well worth it.
Thank you.
